Hot water cylinder

What type of hot water cylinders do you need?

Vented hot water cylinders

Vented cylinders (also called open-vented cylinders) need to be supplied by a large tank of cold water which is kept in the loft. The natural pull of gravity carries this water via a vent pipe down to the hot water cylinder which heats the water.

Unvented hot water cylinders

An Unvented Hot Water Cylinder is a pressurised system which is fed directly from the cold mains water feed and therefore can deliver hot water at mains pressure, which is great for improving the performance of your shower and bath.

★★★★★ (4.8)

"I have used CH4 (Luke) before and have no problems recommending them for any work required relating to gas engineering, heating and plumbing and full fit out of bathrooms. What you will get is impartial advice on what you have requested and what they think is required. As the project progressed there was many unforeseen events. What separates CH4 is their ability to deal with problems there and then and provide you with the information required in a timely manner. The ability to work around issues and can-do attitude most probably derives from the years within the armed forces."
